Recent A.D. Notes
A.D. 94-17-13- SB 165E- Hartzell- Certain 3 blade "Y" shank hubs, repetitive visual/eddy current inspection every 10 hours, others at 50 hours; alternate hub chamfer good for 400 hours; replace critical hubs by June 30, 1995. Lower risk models-A.D. says if chamfered, it can go 400 hrs., then repeat at 400 hr. intervals whereas S.B. 165 says it can go 400 hrs., then repeat at 100 hr. intervals. Also CAA (U.K.) AD004-06-93 repeat visual inspection at 5 hour intervals.
A.D. 96-18-14 Hartzell-Affects all steel hubs used on turbine engine applications. Replace hubs in accordance with schedule of hub serial number vs. month/year.
A.D.97-06-16 McCauley- Inspect and rework McCauley 1A103/TCM series propellers within 50 Hours TIS since last inspection per A.D. 95-21-01. Repetitive Inspection every 800 TIS.*
* A STC Replacement type propeller is available that does not have A.D. Note inspection. See Cessna STC Kits.
A.D. 97-18-02 Hartzell-Affects all steel hub double shoulder bladed propellers. TBO reduced to 1000 Hr and repetitive inspections on blades, hubs, and clamps. Initial inspection due at 1000 Hr. TTSN, or 24 Months whichever occurs first. Some STC replacement props available, reduced price program for 2 years only by Hartzell. A.D. 98-02-07 Hartzell- Model HC-E4A-3 propellers. Identify and replace defective counterweight bolts within 45 days or 400 Hr. from date of this A.D. dated Feb. 12, 1998.
